Jul 20 - a crappie ending

I was feeling a bit beat-up from the Chiro appointment but hopefully that will provide payback. I did go for a short ride east on 522, chalking up 20 miles.  I'd like to say that felt good but it takes more to completely loosen up and besides, the wind was from the west so I had to work my way back.  The reason that I didn't go west is that I'd hit the stone chipping work and although I don't really mind riding on a few kms of gravel, standing around with the deer flies waiting for my turn to traverse that section would be a pain.

Early in the day I set out my minnow traps and that yielded a couple of dozen large and small minnows.  Later in the afternoon I went to clear the traps and also went into Loring for mail and gas for the boats.

I went out with my fishing buddy Lauren after dinner and we had a good crappie haul; only 7 but that yielded 1lb 6oz of fillets, enough to fill our bellies at dinner tonight. That will be good for a change.  I can't say that I have fun cleaning fish but I was back in the swing of it pretty quickly.  As usual, my fingers now have that fishy smell.

That's pretty much it ... ??? ... I guess ... onward !
