Jul 24 - Cassie & Abby addendum

Now here's an interesting comparison -- with the crowd here and kids running around, Abby would have been in the thick of it, nose everywhere looking for attention.  It's sad to say, but I don't know exactly what Vickie would have done -- I think that she'd be looking for attention too, but more simply leaning on you, being part of it silently.

Cassie, on the other hand, always wants to play but it's fetch-playing.  It's one-on-one.  She simply stayed at the door, lying on the mat, watching the action while the kids ran around, amazed perhaps at all the ruckus.  Normally she'd sense when dinner was over and be at me with a toy, wanting me to throw it.  I don't think that she could figure out when we were finished !

Don't let anyone ever tell you that dogs don't have individual personalities.  I suppose that cats are the same way (but I don't care !!).  Oh, all right, I know that Mrs. Miniver had a different personality than Mr. Tibbs ...
