Sep 6 - wow, is this place dead !

The people from Guernsey are here for a week.  I have no idea what they'll do for a week.  It's unbelievably dead.  We walked and walked and walked at lunch time and found nothing open until we ran across this little bar that had one piece of pizza and a couple of panzerotti -- Sandy had the pizza, I had one of the other and a cappuccino.  Total lunch bill ... wait for this ... 3.40 Euros.  Nothing else was open.

Later in the day we did have a glass of wine at the bar across from the hotel, which by then was open, and ordered some bruschetta ... which turned out to be sandwiches, panini style, which we ate.  None of the restaurants close by were open for dinner so we ended up back at the hotel.

Apparently the place was hopping for the four days prior to our arrival, some sort of festival, but not now !

It was raining last night during dinner and it's raining lightly now.  The weather is supposed to be better up the coast, so away we go - Porto San Giorgio.
