So sad. Cassie doesn't want to go outside by herself anymore. That's because we now have flags around the yard ... I ran the wire for the not-so-invisible-fence and planted flags. She knows all about flags. I didn't have to bother with the wire or the collar.
I'm rethinking the boundary and how the wire is run. Right now it's simply on top of the grass, which obviously won't work with the lawn service. Cassie will also get used to her boundaries in a couple of days. This morning I had to coax her outside and onto the edge of the grass, in the dark, to pee.
Then there's the kitchen island. Perhaps a couple of flags would keep her on the correct side of the island ? No ... she'd probably retreat to her kennel and not come outside !
The outside work became necessary because since we've been back, she's been treating all of Keely Circle as her domain, assuming that she hasn't gone out onto Riverside, that is. The neighbors are quite willing for her to roam the backyard but we're unwilling to have poo patrol go that far !
I rode again yesterday, inspecting A1A in Flagler Beach again. Fascinating. Mother Nature at Work, or at Destruct, depending on your point of view. The straight line below to the left of the cone, is the center of the road. I guess all the "don't walk on the dunes" signs are gone, as are the dunes. What a mess. Work is underway to re-do this 1.3 miles of roadway that looks like this.
My time was a little off this time since the supposed-to-be north wind was only north when I was riding north; then it was east. Oh well. I still love the ride.
Today we're about to head over for brunch with Jessica and Josh, then I'm going to start some drywall work ...
Onward !
