Oct 3 - the campaign

This is hard.  Ok, I've sent a hundred emails, or maybe two hundred, to individuals and to groups, initial and followup, thanks etc.  Thank goodness for my typing skills !

There are a few people working for me but it's hard to get coverage around the country and you never know how many people actually click the link to vote.  One of my South FL friends referred to Florida as a "battleground state", which was a great LOL.

I did get out for a ride to Loring and back.  I should really get out for a long ride but that might not happen.  There's a lot to do and I'm preoccupied with this election ... and when I turn on the TV, the other election !

I also power washed the Whaler, which took a good two hours from when I started up the hill with the unit.  I had a hard time keeping it running at first, not sure why but it hasn't had much use and that's probably the reason.  These small gasoline engines want to be used, not sit.

That's one "major project" out of the way.  It's only major in that I know it takes quite a while.  I can't do a full inside power wash when it's in the lake or on the ramp at the shore.

Jason, Lorraine and Kim arrived late afternoon and came over for a visit.  We got the full scoop on how they dealt with Gavin's "accident".  He's got the ortho-neurologist appointment on the 11th and hopefully surgery will be scheduled shortly afterwards.

Cassie has been calming down as she gets older but she reverted yesterday with the Davies here.  Oh well.  Puppydom.

No doubt there will be dock juggling today as Jason moves his dock.  It occurred to me that I'll likely take advantage of his dock to get my gazebo wrapped, minimizing the dock juggling that I have to do.  I should get that going today.

I think that's it.

Onward !
