Ok, looks like we're in for a big blow. Time will tell how our house fares -- it's been through hurricanes before but perhaps not this strong. Can't do much more at this point; at least we're safely up north.
I think that we have some neighbors who are hunkering down, so hopefully we'll get an early report on damage, if there is anything significant.
In other news ... but it's hard to think of other news ! ... Jason gave me a hand pulling up the 12' boat with the Merc 25. That was easy. It fit perfectly onto the Bayliner trailer and is secured with ratchet tie-downs. It only took 15 minutes to juggle the Whaler out, the Bayliner trailer in, the Whaler back in. They already had their resting places and the 12' boat actually pulls forward of the bottom rails, so it's no longer than the original empty trailer.
Jason worked at getting his place winter ready, draining bottom end's from motors. I should probably do the same with the Whaler -- it's the only one that had the motor sitting in the water all summer.
