Nov 9 - progress

Work on the back is moving along; no travertine laid yet but that has to start soon.  Work to date is mostly wall blocks and gravel/sand fill.  The side deck is mostly removed; that will be complete once the A/C is removed, supposed to be today (Thursday).  Sandy wasn't happy with the garden enclosure lines; we'll communicate that to the guys this morning so that they can move those blocks.

Sandy went into Orlando for some shopping and to see the Apple Store for problems with her watch.  It's now in for warranty repairs (we're betting replacement) and they'll ship it back to her.

I went for a bike ride, still north, no south winds on the forecast as far as I can see.

Prior to the bike ride, I did some electrical work, reconnecting the dock.  That's now live and more-or-less final.

I had a call for the Granite Anvil at 8pm that wasn't on my calendar; thankfully Peter G put out a query and reminded most of us of the call.  That project is moving along nicely.

Cassie got in some playing with Gabby once I was home from my ride.  Sandy got back while I was over there and we went to the SYC for dinner since neither of us had done anything about dinner.  The usual Wed crowd was there.

I've now got an MRI appointment for my shoulder for next week, assuming health plan approval.

I'm rationalizing that a Trump win is better than a narrow win by HC (with Trump winning the popular vote) as that would have exacerbated the claims of "rigged" and the disenfranchised would never support her and the next four years would have been hell.  We'll see how it all works out, obviously, although from the news last night there were many protests.  People are pretty polarized but I think that he's more likely to gain support if he gets his act together.  I don't think that HC would have ever gotten broad support.  Time will tell.  At least the stock market has calmed down from its initial negativity.

Onward.
