Dec 29-31 - wrapping it up

Skating, sliding, 4-wheeling, playing … everyone is having a blast but especially Cassie !  She runs and runs and runs.

Sandy, Cassie and I went for a walk today to the Lodge and around one of the islands with cottages.  It’s heavy going in the snow – coming down like crazy right now and piling up.  The snowblower will get some more exercise.

I did a grocery/diaper run into Parry Sound; driving was dicey.  On the way down it was several minutes between cars.  On the way back, following a snowplow most of the way at 50kph, it was a long trip.

Tonight we do fondue, meat and chocolate, our usual New Year’s Eve fare.  It’s always fun.

Tomorrow some of the troops start to leave – Chris, Kylie and Lauren.  David and Vanda will leave on Monday; Jeffrey et al on Tuesday.

Last night Kylie, Chris, David, Vanda, Lauren and Emma were out skating in the dark with sparklers.  It was fun to watch, but I was warm inside J.

Onward … the ball drops in a few hours.
