Feb 12 - gutters ... check

Here in the US of A they're called gutters.  Up north, they're evestrough.  Same thing.

The gutter guy was here at 7:30 a.m. as promised, work already underway when I got home from Mass.  I called Jim, who came over with Sheryl and we moved his trailer and mine so that they could do that side of the house.  Finished around noon, the two guys seem to have done a great job.

New gutters are installed with screws, not the old long aluminum nails; much better.  I guess we're now ready for painting, which starts next week.  Backyard cleanup is also due as is finishing work on the outdoor kitchen.  I'd like to see this all finished.

With the new gutters up, I rerouted the satellite dish wires; no need to run them up at the roof level.  It's so much neater to have them mid-level across the base of the guest bedroom / loft deck as opposed to up at the roof, dangling on downspouts etc.  I didn't bother cleaning up the wire length, just coiled up the excess.

Otherwise I didn't do much.  My calf muscles are still tight.  I was originally going to ride today but I think that I'll hold that off until tomorrow when there's a SW wind predicted; should be good riding.

Onward !
