I realized yesterday how quickly this winter season is going to rush by due to us being away for most of January and into February. It's already Valentine's Day; Jerry is coming next week; it's like winter is half over !
I did get back over to the gym yesterday; short visit as usual. I did not go out for a ride; will be doing that today. I resumed work on the powder room, cutting and installing the window sill. Now I have trim work and painting. Once through the powder room, I'll finish up our bedroom.
I'd planning on getting Cassie over to the sandbar yesterday but the boat battery was dead. Ugh. It only took a few minutes of charging before it turned over but I didn't want to take a chance on heading out that way. I left it on charge overnight. By the way that the charger was behaving, however, there's not much left of that battery. They don't take kindly to heat and inactivity.
I picked up softening salt at HD, annoyed as always at the weight of the dang bags, since I buy the 60 lb ones. I can't bring myself to paying 7.49 for a 40 lb when the 60 lb is 7.99.
When in high school, Jeffrey worked at a local theater. At the concession, for 25 cents more you got a large. Well, in this case, for 50 cents more, you get 50 percent more. That's hard to resist. The bags are unwieldy; snip the corner and then hoist up and try to pour into the salt reservoir ... flopping all over the place.
Eric is coming tomorrow to review cleanup items. I haven't heard back from Stephen at the counter place. Perhaps Eric has some pull there. I've also got some soffit work to do when Duane comes to paint. Jim and Sheryl did a great job staining the dock ... it needs a second coat before the season is out. It's never ending.
