Mar 10 - plumbing and such

I have done a few things around here, not mentioned, like working on the coffee roaster.  It wasn't heating up properly so I replaced the heater.  Nope.  Up north I'd replaced the "motherboard" and the heater sensor and that didn't do it so I had to replace the heater.  Here, I started with the heater and no luck.  Dang.  So I ordered the replacement motherboard and sensors and replaced both the heater and outlet sensors.  Now it's working.  The one up north doesn't quite heat up as much as it should have; perhaps I needed to replace the outlet sensors as well.

The reason for replacing the motherboard is that the new heater sensor isn't compatible with the old motherboard.  The parts aren't that expensive and we do get a lot of use out of these things.

Yesterday Eric's gang didn't show up and I'd had enough of looking at the bottom row of tiles sitting on the outdoor counter so I did the work with the angle grinder rather than wait some period of time for them.  Then I tackled the plumbing and found that the strainer isn't the same size ... went back to HD this a.m. and they don't carry strainer assemblies for bar sinks ... why ?  Anyway, the helpful fellow directed me to a place on US 1 in Edgewater, headed there, picked up the $9.06 item (with taxes) and just finished installing same as well as the supply lines.  We're in business !

The other day when I rode it was warm, sunny, the eve of bike week, spring break ... and there were lots of bikinis out.  Daytona was busy.  Today when I ride it will be packed with people - the first offcial day of bike week and a beautiful day.  Tomorrow it's supposed to rain.

David is on the road, apparently staying in Washington PA last night, SC tonight and tomorrow night?  arriving here on Monday.  He and Vanda are planning on heading back via Nashville which is an extra 200 miles and would normally take them through Atlanta; he'll have to figure out a different route.

Onward !
