Yes, off in the Hydra Sport from the marina. The marina suffered some dock damage, with more than 4 feet of water on their property; docks floating way up, all those tools and equipment inside submerged ... but my boat was high and dry. What a good deal.
We saw more dock damage along the ICW but not as much as we'd seen the year before. The weaker docks had already been destroyed. Here, close to us, there are a couple of boats up on dry land and I can guess how they got there ... no, they weren't trailer-ed into place.
We cruised down to see how Inlet Harbor is coming along. It is .. but the prediction is for a November opening. We shall see. It's slow.
Cassie got some good running, ball chasing on the island. There's an algae bloom going on so the water looks a bit weird; all brown. It's 82+F ... my kind of temp ... but not in that brown stuff ! The surf would be better.
I did a Home Depot & Walmart run, picking up some more sprinkler heads and replacing a dead battery. I'll try the skiff today and see if it's able to run. I did finish up with the sprinkler fixes but I am tired of that. I need car-proof and lawn mower proof sprinkler heads. It seems that some of them just expire from the UV exposure or perhaps they were hit by the weed eater as they were in the garden away from the grass ? I'm not sure.
I did setup an appointment for the M5 air bag replacement. The X5 will be next but they don't have the passenger ones yet, which is strange because I'm getting all these calls.
I also ordered a replacement power circuit board for the Gene Cafe roaster after talking to the tech. I expect that we'll run out of coffee before that gets here so we'll have to do a Starbucks run for some beans.
We await the new satellite dish as well. That should be in shortly.
Onward ?
