Nov 29 - a long, long day

The trip went relatively well from car drop-off at the airport to Jim and Sheryl pick-up here.  The only issue that we hit was a delayed Qantas flight that got us into Dallas late for our connection, but it was handled really well by AA.  New boarding passes were awaiting us on a rail as we disembarked and we had three hours in Dallas to get through immigration, collect bags, customs, re-check bags, get through security, change terminals and get to the gate.  It gave us just enough time for a relaxing snack at a wine bar ...

I'm still unsure as to what's going to happen with the rental drop-off.  They're supposed to charge us $100 for that and I'll have to see if that all works out; monitor my Amex card.

The final wrap-up is Kylie making it back to Geraldton, which seems to have occurred and I exchanged "thanks" and "keep in touch" with Annie. 

We will go back to Oz, probably straight to Perth ... maybe next October ?  Perth-Albany-Perth ?  I expect that flight will be a one or two stopper through Dubai. 

With the new landing time in Orlando, we got in at 8:30 p.m.  The airport is terrible for baggage handling so we weren't on the way with Jim & Sheryl until approaching 9:30. 

Laundry; we've both got lots of laundry ! 

How quickly we'll switch to the inverted day remains to be seen ... 13 hours different from Perth.
