Nov 29 - I hope this works out !

We dropped the Ace car key at an empty Hertz desk. Sandy talked to them yesterday and this is supposed to incur a $100 AUD charge ... not much more than we'd have spent on Uber or taxi. I sure hope that they find the car ! The downside is huge.

Passport difficulties, too many passports, stopped us from checking in online or with the airport machines. In spite of Sandy having a US passport, the machine wanted a resident alien card. We came in on Canuck passports, because that's where our ETA's were attached, but need to enter the US as citizens. Mine worked but hers didn't. Eventually the live agent sorted it out.

Although our baggage is tagged through Orlando, we have to retrieve and recheck in Dallas. In Oz, because PER - SYD is domestic, we need to change terminals to catch the SYD - DAL. Fun.

I did check into later ongoing flights from Dallas just to know what our prions are but of course that's not really a plan b as we have no idea whether there's space.

I have no idea when this day will actually end.
