Dec 25 - the tree

It's a big tree. At 20' originally and 10' wide at the base, a little trimming helped. 1.5' off both the bottom and top plus some judicious girth trimming helped. Of course a bunch cones off the backside to get it close to the sliders as well.

My job is to get the star and lights in place and some ornaments and tinsel in the higher reaches. After that, Sandy takes over and throughout the day tinkers at making it just right.

So that was mist of our day. We also went for a walk on the lake, turning around at Grumblenot island. Cassie covered at least 50% more territory and maybe twice as much, constantly running, following the shoreline and into the bush. Once home she still wanted to play. It takes a lot to tire her out, if ever.

I pulled in another pike. That will be dinner tonight. Sandy will make the big shopping trip today.

We got a few more inches of snow, almost too little to run the blower, but I may do it anyway.

Cassie and I will have a quiet day today with Sandy out. Tomorrow, dinner time, the first of the hordes are expected.

I guess that I should do some wrapping ...

Onward !
