Cassie went for another wander, but just to the street beside us. I guess that the invisible fence collar will be her constant companion now ! I was even outside at the time, cutting down all the frozen bananas and hauling them to the street. It looks pretty pathetic out back. We're so used to the foliage but it was all brown after the frosty nights that we've had. Here's hoping that's it for this season !
That was basically my day. I didn't accomplish anything else of note other than a RUSA conf call last night that lasted just shy of one hour.
Sandy's doing a little better with the cough mostly gone and energy gradually coming back. I'm hanging in there, knock on wood, no symptoms yet.
It was warmer yesterday; I probably could have gone for a bike ride but I will do so today, Sunday. I may also go out tomorrow, take advantage of the warming trend.
We had ribs for dinner last night, pre-cooked and packaged at Publix. They were very fatty, probably needed much more slow cooking on my part vs the instructions of "warm and serve". These were hardwood smoked vs the barbie sauce ones from Swiss Chalet that Sandy buys at Costco in Canada.
Speaking of Canada, assuming that we're both fit to travel, we fly to Toronto on Wednesday, drive to the cottage, stay there Wed and Thurs nights, drive to Toronto on Friday, Sandy has a hair appointment that afternoon, we have the RO annual dinner Saturday night and then we fly back to Florida on Sunday. The flights are Daytona Beach => Atlanta => Buffalo. Correction to the above, we fly to Buffalo :).
Once back, I have to make a day trip to South Florida before the end of the month ... more on that later ... one trip at a time !
