another day. Yup, another day. That's a good thing, I guess. Much better than the alternative, I guess. I'm reminded of that when I got a Facebook birthday reminder for Doris Guymon. Looking through my friends, I have a number who have passed away. How long should I hold onto those friends ? I believe that they're still with us; we just can't hear them
We had another friend leave us yesterday. He did more than "fight the good fight". An amazing guy, he was skiing, riding, exercising in major ways right until the end. He was always "doing well", if you asked, even as he went through chemo treatments, cyber knife etc. Always on the edge of what was permissible and approved, he lived life to the fullest to the end, without a complaint. How many of us could do that ? On his darkest days he lived life larger than most of us on a good day. Sandy has been busy organizing Disney for Lauren's visit; tickets, fast passes, she should have used our usual Disney travel agent (Kim Davies). She had a lot of trouble with the website but eventually sorted all that out with Customer Service on the phone.
I've now got an appointment for the M5 with the BMW guy in Daytona, for the 20th. In the meantime, it's misfire city. Quiet misfires. I've also got appointments for teeth, eyes, physical ... it's not so much about growing old as it is just working everything into the rest of the travel schedule. I've still ot to make a urologist appointment, once I know when I'll have labs done.
