Mar 9/10 - on the road yet again

North on the 9th then south on the 10th.   I had a headwind going north and that had changed to southeast coming back.  I had a headwind going south and that changed to east by the time I was heading home.  It was a slow ride both days.  I'd better be stronger in Brazil !!

The 9th started off cool and never warmed up.  The 10th started off partly cloudy and ended up cloudy.  I was layered both days.  Oh well, it was warmer than NC where Mark, Hamid and Ian are doing the 1000k.  Looks like they'll be riding in the rain today.  I'm glad that I didn't go, not the least because I'd have spent two days driving.

A1A was mobbed with bikers on the 9th, the first day of Bike Week, with a good mile of stopped traffic.  Yesterday, heading south, there was a steady stream of bikes heading north on US 1.  I'm sure that today will be busy at Main Street but I plan to ride south.  Tomorrow it's supposed to rain, so I'll get in another ride south.

It sounded like Cassie got some good exercise yesterday with a walk, play-date with Gabbie and Jim and Sheryl here for a bit.  It was too cool, and late, to take her out in the boat once I was home.

Sandy has mostly finished revamping the garden.  Here's hoping that a) we can find someone to maintain while we're away during the summer and b) that it doesn't get frosted out next January !  The bananas are climbing too.  The lady who worked on the garden last summer has had a hip replacement; we're not sure if she's going to be available.

Church was semi-quiet this morning, no doubt people not making the jump to DST.  Sandy just got up; she doesn't like the jump either.

We had Pompano for dinner last night ... always good.  Tonight Sheryl is cooking, and tonight we pick up Lauren at Orlando International.

Onward !
