May 12 - just about ....

It was a very busy day.  As usual, things cropped up, like the nasty light on my dash saying that the left running light was off .. so I picked up the requisite H8 bulb from Advance and installed that.  I wish I had smaller hands when a project like this comes up !

Sandy of course had her own list, including finishing the mulching and housecleaning.

My list went on and on and on, it seems:

- bring in satellite dsh - that was tough. I'd assembled it on the pole and it's very awkward and heavy maneuvering this dang 1m dish on the roof
- wrap and secure boat
- bring in yard furniture
- retrieve Sandy's kayak from SYC, find a place for that !
- satellite receiver ... whoops ... must grab remote too ! ... on second thought, I'll leave that here as I have a spare up north
- vonage box ... actually think that I'll leave it here as it has no use up north
- pc disks and backup, done as usual
- dog transmitter and collar
- retrieve boat battery from North Causeway Marine and battery from skiff

Now, of course, there are the last minute things to do this a.m. like the shutters, etc etc., turn water off, gas off, under counter heater off ... The car is mostly packed and the kitchen counter is strewn with stuff.

We ate at the SYC, just the two of us and a table of 3.  We had a long talk with Chantal and a short talk with Lilly.  Lilly closed up soon after we left; Chantal was already gone.  Presumably that table of 3 packed up.  Today the SYC has its Mother's Day Brunch and the Tiki opens late, but we won't be there !

Onward !
