Sorry Cassie. You were left with your cousin Mya !
It was an easy drive to Toronto and we parked at city hall, right across from our Sheraton.
We ate at Kit Kat, a real find. 30 years, so the proprietor said. Italian to the core, we had the best grilled veggies and whole calamari that we've had outside of Sicily. Sandy's veal piccata and my osso bucco were great, sorry, not off the charts like the appetizers.
The capstone was Come From Away. What a riot. Sandy called it a musical. I'd class it as a play with singing. Foot stomping numbers, not a musical like Cats, for instance, it was great fun. It tells the story of 7000 people from 38 planes landing in Gander Newfoundland during 9/11. Tripling the population for that few days, comedy and tragedy, heart warming, it's partly a 110 minute, no intermission, Newfie joke.
Dinner and theatre were both worth the trip to Toronto. Now it's time to get outta dodge before the long weekend traffic traps us here !
Onward.
