Nov 22 - in the garage, mostly

I spent a lot of time in the garage on Thanksgiving, not working on the car but tidying up.  Busywork. The trash bin is full; the work bench is cleaner (note that I didn't say clean !) and a few odds and ends have been relocated.  It's still a crowded place but now it's a little more organized.  That doesn't last long.  I also did a little mangrove trimming, as far as I can reach with the pole.  I'll need a low tide before I can actually get inside there to the hard to reach places.

Sandy, meanwhile, was pulling weeds.  We had some huge weeds growing when we got back in November that had all those seeds that attach themselves to you.  Pulling those, that were more like shrubs by that point, filled the gardens and the pavers with those seeds.  Well, they're all germinating, producing a veritable carpet in the garden and growing up out of all the cracks between the pavers.  It's going to take a long time to rid ourselves of these.  They don't even respond (i.e. die) very well to round-up.  Perhaps vinegar on the pavers or a flame-thrower ...

Of course all stores were closed, so there was none of that, but I did some shopping online.  I took stock of what I needed in bike parts - chains, rear-derailleurs, tires and other consumables and did some ordering.  I didn't need tires.  I may decide later that I need some more 32's but I'm loaded with 28's for this year and next.  The 32's that I have will be held in reserve as I get some more miles out of the used ones from this year.  The 28's are for the Litespeed.

That's about it.  Onward !
