In better shape this year than the last two hurricane affected years. We had / have weeds aplenty but most everything else was quickly taken care of.
- TV dish, back in place, new LNB works, took me a little while to figure out that corosion on the copper center wire of the coax cable was my connection problem.
- Barbecue out of the kitchen and back in place. That's harder than it sounds, for the two of us to manage.
- Much outdoor furniture now back outdoor.
- Clothesline repaired. The stupid lawn people must have backed their machine into the guy wires and 1" galvanized post, snapping it. I effected a repair without going to Home Depot, a small victory.
- PC back up and running, 2200 emails downloaded and filed from only the last month. Sheesh.
- Dinner at the yacht club. Good to be back.
There's probably more but that's what comes to mind. This morning I will put my bike back together and pack for the ride that starts Sunday. I leave early tomorrow for Pensacola ... ugh.
Travels this year
- US, of course
- Canada, of course
- Brazil - me only; ride
- Italy, touchdown in Venice then later long stay and ride
- Slovenia, drive through
- Croatia, stay overnight
- Serbia, drive through
- Bulgaria, long stay, ride
- Spain, long stay, ride and Camino
- France, long stay, ride
- Japan, long stay, ride
- Australia, long stay, ride
- China, Hong Kong for the day
- Israel, long stay, ride
- Greece, two nights in Athens
- Egypt, three nights in Cairo / pyramids
That's only 16. I'd counted 17 before. Either I'm missing one or I miscounted earlier. It's all a blur.
That's enough. There are countries that we've seen on prior trips, but not as many as we hit this trip. UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Ecuador, Mexico ... and before that, diving, many just island nations - Tobago, Honduras, Belize, Caymans, Turks & Caicos, Bahamas, St. Marten, a couple of other islands ...
I'm probably forgetting some.
