Jan 26/27 - ride then rain

Pete Dusel came up from Melbourne to join me for a 115k ride. Originally we were going to ride on Sunday. Thank goodness we rode on Saturday. We've had wind and rain all day.

Pete's in Melbourne for a week starting a contract with Harris. He lives in Ontario NY (think Rochester) and runs rides from there. He's helped me twice on the Granite Anvil.

I was cold. 3 layers. He was warm. 1 layer most of the time. He has more personal insulation but more than that, he's used to the cold.

Today nothing. Tidying the garage, doing email, some minor RUSA projects - this stuff occupied the day. I thought about going out but it wasn't going to be fun. Luckily sandy is preparing shrimp so I don't have to barbecue !

Onward !
