Feb 9 - better than expected

It was supposed to rain, and it did eventually, late in the day.  Sandy did some more dock staining; I took Cassie to the sandbar; Sheryl, Jim & Jennie dropped in; another day goes by in paradise.

My major activity of the day was doing a first draft of our taxes.  The pluses and minuses seemed to balance each other out; it wasn't a whole lot different than my estimate using the 2017 program.  I do that every year, using current year income on last year's program to estimate how much I should send in for quarterly estimates.  I owe the tax man about what I expected to owe.  I don't aim for refunds.  I'm still awaiting some final tax forms in the mail and will review and update once they come in ... and write a check.

Now I should probably do the RUSA taxes.  Sigh.

My repaired rear-view mirror arrived and is now installed.  That's good.  Looking up at a blank space in the center of the windshield was annoying.

Sandy's dinner planning was spot on.  We had crab cakes, i.e. no grilling required.  It wasn't going to be fun in the rain.

Onward !
