Almost ready.
The house is packed (outdoor furniture indoor; grill indoor; outside water off; skiff covered and tied; upstairs hurricane shutters closed; satellite dish in; garage wine cellar emptied ...).
The car is as ready as it will ever be (oil changed; new tires; brake pads delivered and awaiting installation up north; mostly packed).
Last minute stuff ready to do (rest of the shutters; pack cooler; load last minute stuff in car; turn off water and gas).
Even Cassie is ready ! (dog bag packed, including chuck-it; daily breakfast and dinner in ziplocs; remainder of food ready to go). We are leaving two full unopened bags of food in the laundry room. I'd debated bringing them north but they should keep.
We expect to get away by 10 and then Rock Hill might (!) be our destination today; Erie PA tomorrow; Cottage Saturday. I hate listing all this as it's bad luck ! Of course it's supposed to be raining on Saturday. Of course.
