We have this conversation each time. For me, earlier is better, always. I know that there are things that she'll want to do before leaving - clean the stove, for example. It's like putting on clean underwear in case you have an accident ...
I made another batch of my date/seed bars; the better part of two batches coming with us. Being smarter now (ha !), I'm bringing that extra bag since we've paid for 2 bags each and that extra bag has coffee, cereal, date/seed bars, coffee maker (?) and perhaps a couple of odds and ends. I made the mistake, although I didn't have room for anything else, of not having something to heat water when I went to Slovenia. I had to wait until 9am for coffee. In most of Europe and North America, you can make coffee in the room, but not at the Farm Mali Raj. This time I'm not taking chances ! and of course we'll cart it all over Europe for nothing. Better safe than sorry !
The barn is locked. The garage soon. The shed, don't bother. I'll go through my cottage closing and bike pack checklists. Checklists 'r us.
