We wandered and wandered; Sandy loves Prague. Barcelona, Sofia, Prague ... none of them were on her list. Our travels have taken us to these places and they've been wonderful. I could add Bormio, Lleida, Bordeaux, Tel Aviv, Cairo, Athens ... and on and on, but those would be places of interest.
These is a flip side of course. Which locations have been LESS interesting ? I'd put Berlin in that category. I considered Berlin to be obligatory, a missed opportunity from 1975 (couldn't afford the side trip through East Germany then). I'm quite happy that we undertook the visit but it's not a city that we will visit again.
Porto would be another. Portugal in general was underwhelming. It would be interesting to do a bike ride there and we have good memories but have no thought of returning.
A good dinner nearby, back in the hotel room, brush and floss ... whoops, out comes a crown. It's a very tiny tooth 3 from the back on the left hand side and, I think that it's a crown that was replaced. My dentist was already gone for Labour Day weekend but I sent an email with a picture hoping to setup an appointment for when we are back.
That tiny missing crown feels like a huge gaping hole. It may be the one that was drilled through for a root canal, not sure. I suspect that this is going to be a problem.
Today, off to Budapest. I hope that Budapest is as interesting as Prague but we might soon be running into city fatigue. We shall see.
