Oct 11-13 - the gang !

We have a gang.  Not the full gang but a gang nonetheless.  David and Vanda arrived on Friday in time for dinner.  Stef, Aaron and Kylie arrived on Saturday.  Lauren stayed behind in Barrie, having Thanksgiving with her boyfriend's family.  We worry about Lauren but that's not a blog subject !

So ... add Jason & Lorraine, Kim w/o Graham; Gavin & Amanda; Kyle & Leslie ... throw in a lot of cooking and you have a great Thanksgiving dinner for 14.  There were some leftovers but not much.  The bird was even cooked on time and it wasn't stuffed - there goes Sandy's main argument against deep frying !  Leslie is celiac so any flour was kept separate from the bird. 

David & Vanda polished off a box of skeet.  I didn't have much luck shooting David's gun.  I'm way out of practice or the choke is way too tight for my bad shooting !  David went out yesterday a.m. for ducks w/o much luck.  Raining on and off, he didn't bother at dusk on Sunday.  This morning it's raining again so it's a bust. 

Everyone is clearing out today.  Five of us will be left - two here and three next door.  Jason will close up on Tuesday; we will set the alarm on Wednesday. 

It's a good thing that we're leaving.  Possible snow flurries today.  That's a sure sign of get-outta-dodge!

We've had a good time.  We are thankful. 

I'm semi packed.  The trailer won't be full. 

We intend to stay a couple of nights in Nazareth PA, the new digs and then in the Philly area, seeing Mariadella and Leonas.  With luck we'll also see Wayne Guymon.  We won't be back in FL until Monday or Tuesday.
