They weren't actually here that long, Jason & Lorraine & Kim, that is. Time flew by. I rode on Thursday, doing much better than Tuesday. J&L&K arrived between 4&5pm. That was Pompano night. We had lunch the next day at Wild Side, at the foot of Flagler. All the meals were great, except Sandy's. The so-called Kabob Pita was more ground beef (+, they say, lamb) in a pita. It was a burger, by another name. Friday was tuna night and Saturday they headed for their rental close to Disney. In the area for 4 weeks, Kim has a run this coming weekend and we'll see them for dinner on the 8th, I think.
I rode again yesterday. Each day is better, legs-wise, but it rained most of the time. Ugh. In a first, I didn't put on my coat. It was warm anyway but without a coat, I get a lot of dirt up my back. I should probably put the fenders on.
Last night was chicken night, two HUGE breasts, almost a pound each, that Sandy had bought thinking that they might get used at lunch. We ate one and the other will get used at lunch !
Sometime in the next few days, I need to do my 200k for October. The wind is consistently from either the S or SE so that tells me which way I'll be going ! I just have to decide on which day I want to get rained on.
We've been eating home-grown bananas. We have tons of them and now they're ripening faster than we can eat.
That's pretty much it. Onward !
