The gazebo is truly wrapped and lights hung. I still want to tie down the bottoms but the ratchet straps are around. If I find some screw eyes, I'll replace the nail-hooks up top (only need 8), but that's obviously not urgent. Hanging the lights was easier than usual because there are mostly hooks, vs a combination of hooks and shingle nails on top of the 8x8 beam.
I figured last night that these lights are in place for 7+ months. So for more than 1/2 of the year, the gazebo is wrapped. Hmmm. That says something.
The day started out at 0C but warmed up, sunny and pleasant. This morning it's 11C and only going to 14C. It's drizzling now but that's due to end soon; already windy.
I took advantage of the nice day to move one bike and my two traveling boxes of parts, spare wheels etc. up to the trailer. It's supposed to be sunny on Tuesday through Thursday so perhaps I'll get out for a ride or two.
That's about it for now. Off to Britt for Mass today. If I think of it, I'll check the store there for hooks.
Speaking of the only predicted nice weather before we leave, Sandy is off to Burlington and Toronto on Tuesday to Wednesday, visiting Joyce and getting a haircut. On Thursday she plans to head to Sudbury to pick up food for Thanksgiving Day weekend. Nothing's ever definite but we are expecting David & Vanda plus Stef & Aaron & Lauren. Kylie works Monday and is going to Jesse's family for TG dinner on Saturday, so we don't know if she'll even get up here. Jason, Lorraine, Kim are a definite next door, very likely Gavin and Amanda; don't know about Graham, Kyle or Leslie. By the looks of things, it won't be the weather that tips the scales for people to come !
Onward ...
