Sep 2 - and back

It was a busy day.  We checked out of the Sheraton Centre, walked underground to City Hall parking (it's just across the street) and drove (read crawled) in Toronto morning traffic to the parking lot at the St. Lawrence Market.  First, breakfast - Sandy downstairs and me with my favorite peameal bacon sandwich upstairs.  Next coffee at the roaster downstairs.  Then we picked up sausages, a couple of peameal and headed back to the car.

Getting out of Toronto was relatively quick - a lot quicker than those heading in - especially since it was now raining.  We stopped in Barrie - visited with Stef for a few minutes  picking up Cassie and then stopped at Alex's, again for a few minutes, to see Alex and Jean.  I hadn't seen Alex for a couple of years.  They're both looking good. Jean's Mom passed away last year and that's probably the last trip that they'll make to the east coast.    Their house is a jumble right now because they've had to re-do the basement due to a flood in the spring.  It took a long time for insurance to settle, contractors etc.

Onward ... Barrie and gas at the Pioneer (they take Apple Pay at the pump), LCBO for a case of 6 Macon Villages from the Opimian Society, the vegetable market and Sobeys. We were home at 4.something, unloaded, got a fire going as the house temp was down to 69 and relaaaxx.  A quick dinner with Sobeys chicken and then a record breaking short RUSA call at 8pm.  1:15 is a record, at least for my time on the Board !

Another day done.  My time in shorts is limited to being in the house, at this point.  The mercury is on the way down (no mercury anymore !).

Onward !
