Dec 1&2 - riding and talking

Dec 1 was devoted to riding, mostly.  I was getting in my December 200k.  One of these days I'll get off that merry-go-round but not quite yet; don't know why.  I had a goal, originally, to get to my R120 (120 months in a row with minimum 200k), which I hit January 2019.  I'm still doing it ... I guess that one month I just have to "say no" and step off the train.  I guarantee that I'm not going to hit R240 for a second "Ultra" medal !

So that was Sunday, a windy but otherwise pleasant day.  It was really windy though !  We ate at the club.

Then came Monday.  I knew that I was in for a tough day, dealing with RUSA insurance.  By the end of the day we had closed on club insurance, with some trailing issues that now have to be worked.  Odd, unrelated things are not covered and must be covered elsewhere - Arizona, Minors & Permanents & SR600 rides (a special case of Perm).  I was either on the phone all day or sitting here awaiting a call.  Declined by one company, accepted by another, it was a roller coaster, but we closed the day with progress.

I just needed to get out of here so I went out to the X5 intending to head to Advance Auto and dang, I saw a screw stuck in the driver side front.  What ?!?!  I removed that and checked for a leak ... so far so good.  It was on the extreme outer edge so it probably didn't pierce the inside air chamber, but what the heck ? 

The new tire on rim came in earlier in the day and I mounted that, keeping the old rim with the Michelin as a spare.  I had bought a tire mount bracket that goes in the trailer hitch, but it needs bolts to hold the rim, which was why I was heading to Advance Auto.  They didn't have quite what I was looking for so I'll go to Fastenall today and see what they have.  The diameter of the tire fits in the trunk in place of the donut but the thickness ?  width ?  well, it's too high when it's in there.  I'd have to remove the trunk floor and put a blanket on it.  That's doable. 

The day was a wrap except that I was so keyed up that after crashing at 9pm, I woke up just after midnight, spent some time clearing emails (like 100+), then tried to go back to sleep, no luck, went to the gym at 3am, back at email.  I feel like I'm in the middle of a 1200k !

I'm not going to last the day without a snooze !  Marda arrives today.
