I try to keep my inbox at < 20 messages. Those would be ones that are saved for future, albeit soon, action. I'm not keeping up. The RUSA and RO stuff pushes it to 70-80 emails by the end of each day; I'm responding as fast as I can; I then save a chain; it goes on !
In the meantime ... Marda has come and gone. The ladies visited Patty in Jacksonville one day, went to Blue Springs to see the Manatees another, cruised Flagler another ... notice that I didn't partake in any of that. We went to the SYC for dinner on Friday, the ladies had Brunch on Sunday before heading back to the airport and Sandy & I had a drink with Rose last night and bid her farewell for the year.
I did ride one day and, even though we are planning on heading north early tomorrow, I hope to ride today. It's going to be a glorious 80F.
The Christmas lights are up on the dock, walkway and balcony. The spare tire is on a rack to mount out the back of the car, although I'm halfway tempted to put it inside and pile luggage around it. It'll be so dirty out the back and a PITA. We have less luggage than usual; shouldn't be piled to the ceiling; I expect to be packed about the same way coming back. Traveling light .. no .. just less than usual !
It looks like we'll get to Princeton (hopefully) south of Beckley for the 1st night; Jason's the 2nd; cottage the 3rd. That's the plan but we need to keep our options open. We'll hit rain, AFAIK, before Princeton and then the temp will drop to 20F or so overnight. If it might be slick, we'll stay on I77 to Charleston WV to pick up I79. As I said, we'll keep our options open.
Northward ... soon ...
