Jan 21/22 - we're off ... soon

Our travels are looming.  Jason & Lorraine already in Ecuador.  We leave tomorrow.

I got the bike cleaned up and packed yesterday.  My cycling clothing etc. is all packed.  I guess that I should also pack some civvies ... haven't gotten to that yet !

The wind has been howling, literally.  25mph from the NE is really pushing up some surf - I understand that it's at 12'.  It's also been cold - 36F when I got up yesterday.  Tuesday was dry and cold.  Wednesday was wet and cold.  Today it's supposed to be dry and not as cold and I hope to get out for a leg-stretch on the Litespeed.

We had our usual Wednesday dinner at the SYC.  It was quiet at the bar.  We ate well, as usual.  The last three times I've had their Mediterranean prep sea bass.  Very good; hard to get bored with that.

We have a taxi picking us up tomorrow a.m. at 9am for our 1pm (thereabouts) flight.  It would have been a little cheaper to park but this is better.  I've also arranged a taxi to pickup Michael.  He doesn't know yet that Sheryl and I are splitting that bill.
