Feb 25 - cold again

Our new kitchen wine fridge took some maneuvering to get in ... or rather some cutting.  I had to remove some trim pieces, rip another etc. to squeeze it in.  Who'd a thunk that the fridge that was in place was about 1" narrower and 1/2" shorter than anything else on the market.  Naturally it's not available anymore.  I think that the reason that it died was that it was nestled in there too tightly and not well vented.  I'm sure that the reason for an early death had nothing to do with either - made in China or planned obsolescence.  The new one is a better setup with venting at the bottom and with trim at the top lacking, good flow through.

In other news ... kids are having fun.  We went to the local sandbar again.  They have a blast playing in the sand and at the water's edge while of course Cassie is chasing the ball and Jenny is chasing the birds.   Up and down the sandbar she runs while the birds are about 100' overhead and ignoring her.

I finally got around to making some seed bars and, unrelated, I finally slept most of the night through.

Gene and Judy are still cleaning up from their fire next door - charcoal that wasn't quite out burning some plastic container and creating quite a mess.  Big enough flames to darken their garage entrance way, melt Judy's car bumper, create need for duct cleaning, drywall removal and reinstall etc etc.  As a result they've not had hot water.  The tank was in the way of some drywall removal.  Judy had a shower over here the day before yesterday and is planning on visiting again.

Onward !
