Jul 22/23 - more water

What can I say ? 

Rainy day on Wednesday, spent a bunch of the day in the garage, wiring some replacement lights over the workbench to replace the lights that fried 15 years ago with the Hydro overvoltage issue while we were building.  It took me 15 years to get to that mini project !  After that was finished, I pulled out the old pump and started work on that and mostly finished that work on Thursday, with the pump working on the dock as a test.  I have no idea whether it will pump enough water to pressurize the lake water system.  I'd have to either hook it up to the pressure tanks or ... and I just thought about this - run a hose from it up to the garage level and see if it would run sprinklers.  That would be an interesting test although perhaps not a perfect one because it would be pumping through a mile of garden hose.

I did some more plumbing tinkering yesterday, rerouting the output of the new pump up 1 foot so that the filter hangs properly.  I believe that it's more effective in that position - according to the directions, anyway.  

I might/should go for a ride today.  The weather forecast is favorable.
