Oct 3-5 - puttering

Here, there, everywhere.

I did a little bit of plumbing in the shed, moving the valve upstream from the pump from one side of the pressure tank to the other.  The foot valve has been leaking, or somewhere between the pump and the foot, so the pump runs occasionally to bring the pressure up.  Now that the valve is between the pump and the pressure tank, I can turn off the pump and the valve and re-prime just by opening the valve.  During the summer the lake water system was being used a lot and it wasn't an issue.  Now, I've been using it to clean the Whaler, not much else, and no need to have it occasionally run when not really in use.

Continuing with the shed, I replaced a broken piece of siding on the door, put some plywood on the floor at the entrance where the old plywood had broken down, cleaned out much of the garbage that was simply old clutter - the shed has a new lease on life !  Perhaps I'll paint it inside and it'll be a small bunkie ! (right :).

At the beach, used top-n-bond concrete to do some repairs, experimenting.  I'll buy another bag and do some more in the next few days, trying to hang onto the good work that my Dad had done.  To really do a job, I'd have to make some forms.

I spent a couple of hours inside the boathouse with bleach cleaning the Whaler.  I wish that there was an easy way to remove all the pine sap ... but there isn't.  None of the products really work well, especially on the textured surface.  The only trouble with cleaning is that it makes the pine sap all the more visible.

What else ... don't remember.  I'm just trying to keep myself busy.
