The projects are many-fold. We removed the old jasmine and I built a new lattice fence. Gene and Judy took care of the plants. Sandy has done some transplanting and bought some new. I'm cutting down the front yard lemon tree, gradually. Sandy has caught up the weeding.
I'm in the process of re-screwing the decking on the dock. The coated screws are disintegrating. Oftentimes only the screw head cones off. I'm putting in stainless but the metal is softer and the square head strips occasionally and I have to remove with vice grips. It's a very slow process because at many spots there are six screws due to three stringers underneath. It withdrew be easier to simply add screws but the existing are all rusting and I don't think that overcoating will stop the stain.
ETA is upon us blowing like crazy. I went down to the dock early am to check things out and Sandy's kayak was gone. Waves and wind. Once it was light I went down intending to take the boat out to search for it but Chet was down at his dock and the kayak was there in the mangroves. We hauled it out and it's now on our lawn. Whew.
Time is flying, as always. Before we know it we will be heading north for Christmas. Yesterday the temperature was 68F up there. I'm not anticipating ice on the lake. Perhaps we will have snow. We shall see.
Onward.
