Jan 22-24 - Hamid

Hamid, no Shab, here for the weekend. He flew to ft lauderdale, stayed overnight, picked up his bike at their storage area and got here in time for a tiki dinner, the first of two. 

We did 200k on Saturday, my first >100 since August. I was ok though, having warmed up with 3x100k during the week. 

Our plan was to ride Sunday as well but it rained all day. Hamid left early afternoon for Orlando airport. 

We were a bit nervous having Hamid in the house but time will tell. 

I did a little project for the first time - changing the carbon in my Pelican filter.  We moved out of Saxon before that became necessary. Aaron has done theirs a couple of times. I was noticing a slight odor so it was time. 

Man oh man, chlorine. I'd forgotten how strong it is but now the filter is back online. I was also reading that softeners are good for 10 years. I expect that's an exaggeration but we shall see. 

I had a dental cleaning appt this am. The weather has turned warm but I'm skipping the bike today. I don't know why. I'll go out tomorrow.
