I'm getting worse. There's just not that much to report !
I finished up the plumbing but that's not the end of the story. The softener had some broken plastic and when Jeffrey contacted GE and then HD it was determined that a new unit would be better. The arrangement was that I'd order another and then when the broken one was returned, I'd get a refund. I placed the order and we left for Florida the next day. We went southwest to Harrisburg, joined I81 and stayed overnight at Rock Hill, Jason's favorite spot. The next morning we were up and out and to NSB in time for dinner at the Tiki. Life is good.
In the meantime, HD delivered another softener. The plumbing was already done, it should be "plug and play", right ? No. The softener was broken. Dang. Long story short, another was on the way and it's now sitting in Jeffrey's driveway, delivered yesterday. Why is it in the driveway ? It's broken too. I don't know where this saga will end. The filter is in service ... the softener connections in bypass.
I've been out for a couple/three 100k's. Hamid is going to be in the area tonight and we'll ride on the weekend. He has a hotel in Daytona Beach. Don't ask me why he's so far away. In keeping with the pandemic, we intend to eat at the Tiki tonight and tomorrow. Shab was originally going to come but didn't.
I deactivated the existing security system, fired them and now have the Ring installed, complementing the cameras that I put in place before leaving at the beginning of December. The old system is the same as the one up north and these parts - sensors etc - will travel north with us in the spring to add to the setup there. The blink cameras up north are working nicely - I received a notification yesterday from the barn and watched a video of our driveway being plowed. While I was at this setup, I added another couple of smoke/co2 detectors here in NSB compatible with the Ring alarm.
I've had Cassie out to the sandbar a couple of times. No Disney yet. No bigger boat yet. Falling into our Florida routine, somewhat.
I tried to sign up for covid shots while awaiting Sandy having a laser touch-up to one eye Wednesday a.m. but the website hung on me working on my phone. Better luck next time. The laser was successful; covid not so much. Jim and Joanne are still recovering. We're hoping to get signed up for the next round in our county.
That's about it.
