This is the 5th or 6th time that I've spent upwards of 1.5 hours each time staring at automatic browser refreshes but we finally got through and both have vaccine appointments for Monday. Onwards and upwards !
Fussed some with the skiff yesterday, replacing the fuse block that I assumed was the issue with the depth/gps unit but no, looks like the unit is dead. That might have been a result of me reversing polarity .... I checked online for a replacement unit and this one is too old for a direct replacement and besides, the basic unit that has gps is >$300 ... so I've opted for a Garmin unit that should be delivered today. Either way I was going to have to rewire all the way to the transducer at the transom.
Sciatic nerve (I'm guessing) is still a big issue. It's very painful. Sandy picked up some CBD that doesn't seem to do anything, neither does Aleve. 2xibuprofen takes the edge off. If this continues next week then I'll have to see Keller and determine next steps which would either be MRI or physio. I'm planning on testing out a short bike ride today. It seems that constant motion keeps it at bay, whether that's lying on my back pedaling or walking. It's staying still that's a killer. We shall see.
