Angelika left on Friday, heading for Columbia SC to visit a friend. On Saturday we did some visiting of our own with a 5 hour drive to Anna Maria Island to see Ron and Nancy and then a 3.5 hour drive back. Traffic, traffic, traffic. The place is crowded with young people. We visited at their rental house and then had an early dinner at the Sandbar restaurant. Both Ron and Nancy have had their 2nd shots so we could hug.
Between then and now, I had been to the gym once, spending a few minutes on a back strengthening machine that I favor and a few minutes on the stairmaster. I can definitely tell that my left leg needs more work. This morning I spent more time on both machines. I don't want to overdo it; will try for an every-other-day gradual buildup with the opposite days on the bike.
We didn't get out for a 2nd boat ride with Angelika. She worked most days but took some time off during a couple of days to hit the beach and Flagler with Sandy. We stuck to our usual 7 day food plan and I made a 2nd loaf of Easter Bread "for the road". We have varied the plan again, having eaten out on Saturday and at the Tiki on Sunday, the shrimp are for tonight and the crabcakes for tomorrow, with the gang.
Jeffrey, Sara, Emma, Zoe and Matthew arrive tomorrow, Tuesday. They don't have a rental car this time and they're flying into Daytona airport so we'll meet them, hand over the keys to the X5 and head home. That seems to be the most expeditious way of handling things.
Mass is getting busier. I don't know what to expect on Easter Sunday. We were shut down last year at Easter.
Onward.
