Mar 26 - sandbar and taxes

Cassie got to the sandbar twice yesterday with the Skiff, yes twice.  Early in the day I took her out and then around 5pm, Michael joined me so that Cassie could have another romp.  Sandy, Carol and Michael had gone to Flagler and found that they'd just closed the beach due to high tide and there was no parking.  They cruised out to the old house on Saxon and got onto the beach at Hiles.  There's always a way.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, after several years of recording tax withholdings on my Canadian TPF&C pension plan payments, diligent googling yesterday yielded a more favorable & indeed simpler way of putting these on the tax form, reducing my tax liability.  It's a small difference, not worth re-filing any past years (horrors !).  In fact, without looking at those years, it's possible that it makes no difference.

I guess that I'm pretty much ready to file.  I will give it one more review and mail early April.

Michael went out for a bike ride in the area early yesterday, doing some exploring.  As for me, tomorrow will probably be the first day, assuming that we can get Kathy's bike together in a reasonable timeframe and, of course, that her flight is on time.  Wednesday will be the start of a few days riding in a row.

Oh yes, I did some diddling with Carol & Alister's laptop, finding that they were still running Windows 8.1 and their guy had neglected to do the upgrade to W10 when it was free.  I did remove some bloatware that must have had something buried in it because the speed is back up to normal.  They can hold off W10 for now.

Otherwise, all quiet on the southern front.

Onward !
