I've kept a fire going much of the time with the temps being cool outside. In spite of it being cozy and warm inside, Sandy sits in her chair with a blanket over her legs. Go figure.
I did do a few things yesterday -- some exercise downstairs, albeit without the trainer; weed whacking the grass beside the kitchen; re-stapling the one screen (that needs replacing) on the gazebo; rigging up a new power supply or the mosquito catcher that had well and truly died; that's about it.
The power supply is a sealed unit like a brick; the rain shouldn't have bothered it but I'm betting that was the problem. I already had an extension from them so the replacement power supply is in the shed and the catcher is on top of the effluent tank lid. It's as good a place as any. Whether it's effective is a completely different story !
The Stihl weed whacker started right up after I poured mixed gas from the ice auger into it. I discovered that I have no other gas. I'll have to head into town for mail and gas, perhaps tomorrow as I'm really hoping to get out for a ride today after the roads tour that starts at 9am. It takes a couple of hours.
David and Vanda headed home early, around 10am. He volunteered to do any chores that I had lined up, but I didn't really have any. The gang next door gradually dispersed, leaving Jason, Lorraine and Kim, who came over at wine-time for a glass. We ate late; the Arctic Char was great. I can't pretend that I caught that locally !
