Whoop-dee-do ... just kidding. It's actually a nice little town. It may not have all the services that Sudbury has but it's much more convenient, from a shopping standpoint. All it needs is a) an Independent Store; b) a Costco; c) Tarinis. Oh well.
We did hit Canadian Tire, Sobeys and the Farmers Market. Oh yes, and we had lunch at Kate's, the truck across from Sobey's and Canadian Tire. I had an excellent piece of haddock and Sandy had a grilled cheese and fries. It was actually quite good.
Cassie came along for the ride. We got a little rain as we go closer to home but it was clear to unload groceries and plants (Can Tire and Farm Mkt). Sandy is now all herb-ed up.
I forgot to mention that I did some bike maintenance the prior day. Shifting was getting sloppy so I changed chain rings and cassette and in the process found that my inner rear shift cable was about to break, worked that out and replaced it. Actually I only replaced the half that goes from the cable coupler at the down tube up to the shifter. The rest is mostly exposed and in good shape; doesn't tend to have issues anyway. I should probably replace the inner cable on the left as well but it doesn't get anywhere near as much of a workout as the right.
On the 200k/300k weekend, having replaced the chain, the clicking was gone, until km 130 on the first day, then it started again. That was shortly after I rode on some gravel. It seems to happen when the drivetrain gets dirty, can't figure anything else out. When I changed the chain rings day before yesterday, which were worn, of course I had to pull the crankset and there's nothing wrong with either it or the bottom bracket. The BB bearings are smooth as silk; there's nothing cracked; it's a mystery. I'll be riding tomorrow and it will be interesting to see (hear) if the clicking is still there. If it is, I'll replace the rear derailleur. I've got one with me because I tend to replace that once per year anyway.
Normally I'd be riding the old Litespeed around here but I want to find the source of that clicking !
Onward !
