Oct 18-23 - southward

We left Nazareth on Friday and had lunch with Mariadela and Leonas in Paoli that day, continuing on to Wytheville that evening.  It was a long day but we wanted to get within striking distance of our Florida home.  We stayed at the Comfort Inn as our downtown hotel was fully booked.  We had stayed there in June but I still have no memory of that hotel other than it being a little jog off track on I81.  It's the entrance through the Circle K gas station that I don't remember but what the heck.  We were in early enough to grab dinner at a little Mexican place nearby "Happy Cinco de Mayo".  Although Sandy has always said that she doesn't like Mexican food, she's now converted after, what, 40+ years ?  She was going to give me her refried beans but once she started to eat them, they disappeared.  The vegetarian fajita also disappeared which was basically sauteed veggies with a Mexican name.

Out reasonably early on Saturday, we were home around 4pm with a stop at Walgreens along the way.

Why Walgreens ?  Well, Zoe has come down with Covid, not feeling well later on Friday and testing positive.  Sandy tried to book tests for us online but was unsuccessful but Walgreens had rapid test kits which we used to verify that we are ok, for the moment, and could go to the SYC tiki for dinner.  We'll do another test in a couple of days and a PCR test later in the week.  Stay tuned.

Unpacking didn't take long.  It's easy when it's all the same level.  I said unpacking but really meant unloading.  Everything is in the house but not anywhere near unpacked.

All was ship-shape here.  Interestingly enough, there was very little dust.  The place looked cleaner than usual.  I'm guessing that's due to the air filters that were in use until we left and the house being closed up.  The filters were off but obviously they made a difference.

Our travels are over for a bit.  Today we'll get all the stuff that was moved inside, back outside.
