I went out for a short ride today -- north because of a fierce NE wind -- since we planned to go out in the boat.
Vic the kitchen guy came over before we left to deliver the final plans for the kitchen renovation. We made a few small changes but nothing major. Sandy is going to Orlando tomorrow to look at the granite slabs to confirm that what she was looking at in the 6x6 sample is ok in the larger slab.
We launched at the north causeway again and went south on the intracoastal waterway. We got down to marker 9A before we turned around -- that is opposite Oak Hill on the mainland. It was cold and windy, otherwise we might have gone further. After 9A the waterway opens up and we were going to get wet from the chop since the wind was mostly from the east at that point.
We saw dolphins again -- one crested about 3 feet off the stern -- to add excitement to our day. Edgewater has many inlets that run from the ICW to US 1 with houses on either side and boat moorings. We went down one to explore -- very interesting -- but it must be hot and muggy in those spots during the summer.
Ride stats -- 24 miles @ 17.4 mph.
