It was a fairly easy drive yesterday, 12 hours exactly from Stef's to a few miles north of Charlotte NC. We hit rain at Beckley WV and drove through showers for three hours. Today's drive will start out in much heavier rain though, from the looks of things.
Traffic was heavy for the last 5-6 miles, slowed down by proximity to Charlotte, rush hour and the rain. We were happy to get off the highway. Six a.m. to six p.m. is a healthy drive.
No time this morning for a lengthy blog ... have to drink my coffee, moan over the Doppler, have a shower, pack the car in the pouring rain and hit the road !
