It's another cool one. I got out for a Harley ride; Sandy went out with Emma for a short while, bought her a "Florida" hoodie and toured Flagler, sort of. Then they came back for lunch; I walked with Emma and Abby ... slowly ... for a bit while Sandy prepared lunch, and then took Abby for a walk to the beach.
Jeffrey and Sara went to Universal Studios today -- well, not exactly Universal Studios -- they have two different theme parks. I'd have to look it up to note what they actually went to see but I'm too lazy.
Sandy, Emma and I are watching cats right now. Emma's attention span is not quite up to it, but occasionally she stops and watches :). She's had lunch, should be having a nap, but Sandy doesn't want to enter a battle. Emma never wants to miss anything and often doesn't want to nap.
I did a little bike work this morning, cleaning up the light wiring and mounting the generator light. When we come back in January it will be shortly before my first brevet, so I might as well get things organized. The Hummer is once more !
I found that I could not mount my main light down at the front fork / brake mount any more. The Easton fork is thicker and the bolt isn't long enough to pass through the extra thickness of the light mount. I'll check online and see if a longer brake mount bolt is available, but for now it's mounted at the handlebar. That's ok -- I was taking the Schmidt E6 halogen light off anyway.

It's 6:10 ... hmmm ... not much more to report ! I did find a longer fork brake bolt online, for $2.95 and $5.95 delivery ... and no-one else was selling it that I could find. Annoying, but I ordered it.

It's morning again. Emma had a restless night, awake on and off. Jeffrey got up with her around 6am and has stayed up, giving Sara a chance to get some sleep. I suspect that having her parents in the same bedroom disturbs her sleep, even with the white noise generator that they use.
It looks like we're going to get rain this afternoon, so Jeffrey and Sara will have to get out on the Segways this morning, if they're going to go. Sandy will take Emma ... I'll do something :). Tomorrow the plan is to go boating.
They had a good time at Universal yesterday, getting back at 7:15 pm. We'd already finished dinner (snapper) but they weren't hungry, having bought into an "all you can eat day" at Universal.
Four days and then we leave. By this time a week from now we'll be at the cottage for a two-day stint before driving west. Wow. There's only 13 days until Christmas. Of course my watch says that there are 14 days, but that's because I never advanced it after November 30th. It counts 31 days every month regardless :).
Jeffrey et al are on a flight around noon on Monday, getting them back to Reading in good time, hopefully.
Packing this time won't be a big deal. We have a bunch of stuff, but it's not strewn all around like it is up north. Speaking of up north, our time will be busy up there. By the time we leave we'll have gotten the place warm ... changed the tires on the car ... mounted the racks and ski box ... gone to Mass in Britt ... gone into town to pickup mail ... hopefully there won't be any significant snow while we are there since it will take a goodly amount of shoveling just to get into the barn to change the tires ! That too will be a chore since it's supposed to be -2F next Friday evening.
I'm wondering whether this upcoming Christmas trip will be "an adventure" or "crazy" ... only time will tell.
Onward, northward, coldward ...
