Mar 24 - this and that

It was a relatively quiet day spent just enjoying the wonderful weather and our mutual company.

I took Emma and Abby out for a boat ride in the little Whaler, stopping at one point to pick some shells. While I was out, Jeffrey and Sara went to Walmart and picked up a few things and a bunch of junk food, of which this place is completely lacking :).

We watched some TV, sat outside while Emma played with bubbles, some of us had a snooze, just generally doing nothing of note.

We decided to go to the SYC Tiki for dinner and while we were there it rained ... but we were under the covered area, so that was ok. I see from the Doppler that it's all moved through now, with the prediction for another great day. I'll hit the road on my bike; they'll head to Disney.

It looks like we pretty well have things in hand for the Fleche as long as Judith can get some sleep before then. She's been working nights. I'll see Hamid, Keith and perhaps Ruth, who I haven't met yet, at the 600k this coming weekend. I'm hoping that the "isolated thunderstorms" predicted for Saturday and Sunday don't really appear.

The month is running down. Cousins and friends will head north soon as it gets hotter and hotter here in Florida. I see from Susan Allen's FB posts that the ice is going out up north -- that's early too.

My uncle Phil is recovering from radiation treatments, still very weak but in less pain. They're now looking at the possibility of Chemo. We're all keeping our fingers crossed.

That's it, the good and the bad ... Onward in any event.
